10 most beautiful places in the world that actually exist

“Earth is the holiest place in the Universe, loving the earth, and loving life is the way to generate positive vibrations.” Amit Ray

The world is undeniably beautiful and that is not secret however is you look away from the typical travel or nature photos for a second you’ll begin to notice places that are not only not common but kind of hard to believe that they actually exist. If you are at all curious about these places read on as I inform you about the 10 most beautiful places in the world that actually exist!

01. Tunnel of love

Located in Ukraine, this almost 2 mile long tunnel is unreal looking! Its actually a rail track for trains that pass through a few times a day delivering goods.

Due to the natural passing of time a combination of the trees growing so close to the tracks and the trains running through them it seems to have shaped this beautiful design that we see today.

02. Salar De Uyuni, Bolivia

The world’s largest salt flat located in Bolivia is truely a sight to behold, famed for its crystal clear reflection and unique setup, this spot richly deserves to be in the running for the 10 most beautiful places that actually exist list!

During the dry season it appears to be just a patch of desert land but when the rain comes around it transforms into what looks like a pure sheet of glass. The beauty of it when there’s a clear night sky about is indescribable.

03. Antelope Canyon, Arizona

A canyon located in the American south west its name translates to “the place where water runs through rocks”, due to the nature of how the water carved out this landscape.

While the water also runs through it what’s makes it all the more unique is how the colours change when sunlight runs through it.

04. Kawah Ijen Volcano, Indonesia

While we can all agree that volcanoes are scary as well as an amazing sight to behold this particular volcano tends to stand out from the rest.

For starters it blow out blue lava! that in itself is almost unheard of, this is caused when the sulphuric gases from the volcano come into contact with temperatures that are above 680°F.

05. Atacama Desert, Chile

This particular gem is known for its close similarity with the surface of the moon, that’s right! With a much shorter flight you would be able to experience (roughly) what the actual moon looked like.

06. Son Doong Cave, Vietnam

This cave is one of the reasons for me to write about the 10 most beautiful places in the world that actually exist!

Not only is it the largest in the world but in fact it is so large that it has its own ecosystem, it has stalagmites that are literally the size of tall buildings. You could comfortably fit an entire New York block into it! Check out this link for more information.

07. Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Japan

Located on the outskirts of Kyoto, this ethereal bamboo forest is a must see with all of its glow and mystique that surrounds it.

Its popularity goes beyond just the visual aspect of it, people go there for the peaceful sounds of the trees creaking and the leaves rustling which has garnered international popularity.

08. Bioluminescent Waves

These beautiful phenomenons happen across several countries including Japan, Maldives and Thailand.

This odd spectacle happens when microscopic phytoplankton come together causing their chemical energy to emit light and thereby cause these coloured waves.

09. The Enchanted River

Located in the Philippines, the “enchanted” river or rather the Hinatuan river as it is locally called is roughly between 50 – 80m deep and is said to have a connection to the sea currents at its deepest level which would explain the saltiness of the river.

While the river is surrounded by mystery and local legends it makes it a popular location for travellers who are allowed to swim in it.

10. Great Blue Hole, Belize

An enormous sinkhole that’s located just of the coast of Belize is truely a must witness location. The hole was formed roughly around 15,000 years ago when the sea level was lower.

This is a popular location for scuba divers who are drawn towards its many species of fish and to its rather unique look.

That was my list of the 10 most beautiful places in the world that actually exist, however there are much more special and unique locations around this big blue sphere that we call earth.
